We are excited to announce that Rev. Maddie Johnson will be joining our team as the Good Neighbor Experiment Coordinator. Rev. Karen Rice Ratzlaff, who currently works in that role, has begun to transition to her new position as the District Superintendent of Salina and Hutchinson area United Methodist Churches for the Great Plains Annual Conference. The Good Neighbor Experiment Coordinator oversees the recruitment, training, and follow up for the churches and facilitators within our training experience for local churches and faith based organizations.

Maddie is currently serving as the pastor of Grace United Methodist Church in Winfield, KS and will start with the Neighboring Movement in July. Grace UMC has been a shining example of neighboring and has continued to use neighboring under Maddie’s leadership. Maddie is ordained as a provisional deacon in the United Methodist Church and brings a heart for justice, deep compassion, and a lots of humor to her work. She is a great fit for our team and we can’t wait for her to start!
