Special Episode!

Greetings friends! Today's episode is a special one. For this week's front-porch interview, host Adam sat down with a published author in order to get the scoop on their new book. "Who could this author be?", you ask. Why, none other than our podcast's own Matthew Johnson, of course!

Yes, that's right, Matt wrote a book! The book is about the spiritual practice of worship and is one of eight books recently published in a series from Abingdon Press titled "Holy Living: Spiritual Practices for Building a Life of Faith".

In this episode, host Adam invites host Matt to be a guest on the front porch in order to tell us the story of how the book came to be and then present some of the book's central ideas. Here we will also note that this episode is a bit different than our others; it's central focus is not the practice of neighboring, and it also contains much discussion of Christian spirituality. We want to reiterate that we do not present this episode to promote any one spirituality or religion, Christianity included. Instead, we present it because Christian spirituality is a large part of both Matt's spiritual journey and work outside of the Neighboring Movement, and the book is an expression of the both of those.

As always, we hope you enjoy this episode, and click here to learn more about Matt's book or purchase it!
