Neighboring Tip of the Week - Celebrate something with your neighbors.

Happy October, neighbors near and far!

This week, we have a simple idea for a neighboring experiment, so we will keep this tip pretty short. Our idea is this: celebrate something with your neighbors!

We have discovered that, like sporting events, celebrations are an amazing way to bring neighbors together. Celebrating is joyful, and we think this joyfulness is inviting for our neighbors. Celebrating also gives an event a specific focus, and we think this focus may help neighbors feel more comfortable attending the event. Plus, there is so much to celebrate! Some popular celebrations include birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and holidays, but just think how many other things we can celebrate! The opportunities are endless, such as the founding of your neighborhood, the naming of your street, or the arrival of cool weather.

In addition, we believe that celebrating with our neighbors is important and helps better our communities. Doing so helps us to process our experiences, informs our community of various occurrences, displays to others what our community values, allows us to publicly recognize individuals within our community, fosters postures of both abundance and gratitude within our community, and so much more! Not to mention, celebrating is so much fun, so we hope experimenting with this tip will be a blast!

Happy neighboring!
