This morning we had our weekly meeting with Neighborhood Animators. The Neighborhood Animators are a group of 5 folks, plus 3 volunteers who are working to find and connect the gifts, assets, and good things in their neighborhoods. (Stay tuned for more updates about their work.)

During the meeting, Teresa shared this quote which I found powerful,

This quote has a lot of applications, but in terms of neighboring it reminds me that getting to know our neighbors is not always easy. Sometimes there are resistances. But ultimately, persistence can help overcome them. On those days when neighboring seems fruitless and difficult remember persistence will prevail. Don’t give up!
