Project Wichita Listening Event
A few weeks ago SoCe Life had the opportunity to host a listening conversation in partnership with the Wichita Community Foundation and the City of Wichita. The goal was to gather input from folks about the future of Wichita and the Wichita region. We were one of several hosts.
As folks worked through various stations to answer questions they got a sticker. After completing all the questions they were entered to win a prize from a neighborhood business!
The questions ranged from identifying your "favorite thing about Wichita" to "what do we need to thrive economically." And while we wanted the experience to be creative and fun for folks, we also see this type of work as being very important. We believe people shape their communities, and therefore it is important for people to be able to have their voices heard.

As with all of our events, we aimed to combine creativity with delicious food! We had pastries from Brianna's Bakery and coffee from Legacy Ministries. Everyone who participated was entered to win a prize from these neighborhood businesses: Hupp Hardware, Brianna's Bakery, Kelly's Cafe, and Save-a-Lot.
