Abundance, Provision and Neighborliness

This morning we were working at the office when one of our neighbors stopped by and asked what size wood we needed for building garden boxes. We told him and he said he had plenty of wood that would work. He left, and just 15 minutes later he was back. He had ripped all the wood down and gave it to us for free!

These 2"x 2" boards will become framing for garden boxes!

The other great part of this story is that our neighbor acquired the wood because a contractor was going to just burn it! And as he said, "It's a sin to throw away wood!" He saved it, and now is sharing extra with us, so it is recycled-recycled wood. Good for the earth, good for the hood!
